If you aren't sure of the difference between POP and IMAP and why you would use one or the other, please click here.
1) Click on Add New Account
2) Select IMAP from the drop down.
3) Enter your personal information at the top. In the Receiving and Sending mail, enter all settings as shown, except use your email address and password in the user name and password under Sending Mail. You may change the check message time.
4) You might receive this error. Click on the Accept Untrusted Certificate.
5) Click on Launch desktop and mail will begin to come in.
Important: Zimbra desktop saves sent messages in a local folder. It does NOT sync them to the server. If you need to have sent items synced to the server, you need to use a different client.

Since we are working on Zimbra desktop, let's keep comments in this topic only. Can you log into Webmail?

I entered the settings just as you did, and it synced right up with no problem. Can you open a command prompt and type in "tracrt pop.homestead.com" without the quotes and take a screenshot of the results?

That is very odd. I have never seen a tracert stop like that. If I didn't know you were posting here, I would say that your DNS is not resolving at all. It doesn't even show you getting to your ISP. They may be blocking something for some reason. Below is the same thing run from my computer. You'll see the various hops made until we arrive at pop.homestead.com, which is the static.eigbox.net
Try another one of treacert homestead.com and see if you get a result more like mine. Also, how long did you wait for the screen shot? If it can't resolve at some point across the web, it should report a timeout.

Here is a new screen shot, does this mean anything to you.
Look forward to your reply and thanking you in advance.

1) URL or service you are unable to access: pop.homestead.com
2) Traceroute results: Provided
3) Your local IP address (can be found at http://www.whatsmyip.org/ )
4) Any error messages or additional information about the issue: User account authentication failed. Please check user name and password.
Also, I know you can log in via the webmail, but just the same have you tried a new password? It might be a good idea to try that. When I changed your password, I connected up right away. Then I switched your password back and again, it doesn't work. I don't know if it will work, but it's worth a try, while I am looking at the networking angle.
