How do I set up IMAP email using Windows 7 Live Mail

1) Go to the Accounts tab and click Email.


2) Enter your email address, password, and the Display name. Check the box for manually configure. Click Next.


3) Select IMAP. Fill in the settings:
Incoming Server address: imap.homestead.com
Incoming Port: 993
Check the box "Requires a secure connection (SSL)"
Outgoing server address: smtp.homestead.com
Outgoing Port: 465
Check the box "Requires a secure connection (SSL)"
Check the box "Requires authentication"
Click Next.

 
4) Click Finish.


5) Go back to the Accounts tab, and click on Properties.


6) Enter inbox in the Root folder path. Make sure the special folders are as shown.Click OK.

This sets up a NEW account! How do you change an existing account from POP to IMAP?

It is not possible to change an account from POP to IMAP. You would need to add a new account as IMAP. Is there a reason you want to switch?
