Sometimes, you may want to search for your orders that contain a specific product. Unfortunately, this specificity is not included in our advanced search GUI, but you can alter your store's URL to perform this function.

1.) Log into your store's control panel.
2.) Copy the highlighted portion below, and paste it after your control panel URL, so it looks like the below picture.

?ToDo=viewOrders&productName=

If you have an SSL certificate, the URL would look slightly different, with your store's URL taking the place of the *.mybigcommerce.com URL.

Your Secure URL for the control panel:

If you have your own SSL then it would be:
https://yourdomain.com/admin/index.ph...=

3.) Type in your product's name after the "=". PLEASE NOTE: The product name is case sensitive; you must include any and all capitalization and punctuation in the product name.

4.) The next step is to replace the space in your product name with a "+" symbol.

4.) Once you go to the URL (by hitting Enter or Go, etc.) after typing in the completed URL, your Orders page will only pull up the orders that have the specified product in them.

the shortcut works, but when I go to print them I receive an error page. We're thinking it has something to do with proxy servers..so is there another option?

Are you just trying to print the web page? If so this should have anything do do with the servers. Can you explain exactly what you are doing/printing and give us the actual error message?

I am on Big Commerce now of course, and have many orders. I am using the shortcut URL to filter the many orders for a specific product . The URL is being pasted into my browser (Firefox). The URL works great and I can see the orders etc. So then I click the orders, go to the dropdown menu to print selected invoices and I receive this error (which appears to be iframed into the store). Error states that there was a typo or the page was deleted. The URL should read xxxx.mybigcommerce.com/admin/index.php?ToDo=printMultiOrderInvoices but it doesn't and it changes to this...which is missing the /admin.

xxxx.mybigcommerce.com/index.php?ToDo=printMultiOrderInvoices

What's strange is that it works for me from home, but not in the office when I am on the network. That is why I contacted my IT guys who are working on it, but suggested I talk to you. If would be extremely helpful if we could use the search function in the view order screen for "products" and not just customer info.

Hopefully you can help me find another solution as of course ProStores was working for me just fine. Thanks

Hi kim7440, I am going to follow up with a tech from Bigcommerce to see if this is possible (click the orders, go to the dropdown menu to print selected invoices). I'm wondering that since we have to manually construct the previous URL, that when you click the link, it does not work, but I'll find out. I'll get back to you as soon as I have an answer.

I still have not heard back on this yet, but, if it works on one computer and not the other, try clearing your cache and/or try using a different web browser.  Let me know if that works.

no, does not make a difference as we thought of that. I truly believe it has something to do with my work computer being on a network, as opposed to my home computer which isn't. So, no one else is having this issue?

Just letting you know I'm still waiting for the techs at BC to get back to me no this. So far you seem to be the first person to report this problem. If it works from home, but not your office, there is always the chance that the computer or network has some sort of security setting or something preventing it from working.  One think you might try is to manually insert "/admin/" into the url, right after the ".com"   then press the enter key and see if it works.
