What is Flash?

Flash is a popular way to display complex, dynamic content, such as an interactive movie or game, on a webpage. You can easily add a flash object (such as a video) to a page in your Storefront via the built-in HTML editor.

Uploading the File

1.) You'll first need to connect to your store via WebDAV. If you're unfamiliar with using WebDav please view this article.

2.) Copy your flash file and any other required content (eg. source images or XML files) to the content folder.

Embedding the File

1.) Login to your store's control panel, and edit the product/page/category in which you wish to embed the flash file.

2.) Click the Insert/edit embedded media button (the filmstrip icon).

3.) Enter in the path to the flash (.swf or .flv) file you uploaded in the previous section and the dimensions (width x height) of how large the flash file should be into the Dimensions field.

4.) Click the advanced tab and enter content into the Base field.

5.) Click the Update button to add the element to your work. Make sure to Save whatever you worked on to save your changes.

I'm trying to add a jquery flash based "page peel" in the top right corner of my homepage. I have 2 flash files (one for the small image, and one for the large image), 2 image files, and a peel.js file. The script is located inside the head tag as it should be. I have uploaded everything to my "content" folder via my CyberDuck webdav but I cannot get the page peel to show up. Either I have the paths to the images and flash files incorrect, or the files are in the wrong folder. Should be a fairly simple process but I'm at a loss as to why it isn't working. Any ideas?

Hi Marcy,  So sorry for the slow response.  Did you get this figured out?  If not, where are you trying to add it?

I followed the directions to use the webdav and uploaded everything to the Content folder. I added the script to the HTML header folder right above the /head tag.
