I want to create a link that takes someone to another area on a separate page of my website. Is that possible?

Hi,

Here are instructions to create an anchor link to a section on another page.

1. Login to your website account
2. Click on the "Websites Manager" link in the left navigation menu
3. Click on the blue "Edit Site" button to open up the editing software

4. First navigate to the page that you want people to navigate too (not the page your creating the link from). On the page you want people to go to you need to setup an anchor link. I would recommend using a invisible image to set it up so you don't have to create any text links. Below is a transparent image you can download and upload to your website. (Right click in the blank area below and save the transparent image to your computer)

Example of step 4.

5. Once you've been able to add that image to your webpage (place it on the page where it is out of the way of everything) , you will want to setup the anchor link from that image.

a) With the image highlighted, click on the link button within your text settings on the far right.

b)A small window will open up asking you what you would like this text to link to. Choose the 4th option "Another Area on this page ("anchor link") and select "create new anchor link" from the dropdown. Click OK

c) This will create an anchor link icon (looks like a boat anchor) and is usually populated near the top left of your screen.

d) Drag the anchor icon down to the section you want the link to navigate people too.

5. Publish your website and go to the live page you just created the anchor link on.

6. Click on the transparent image which should navigate you to the section you placed the anchor icon.

7. Grab the URL from your address bar. It should be your domain name / anchor. EX.

8. This is the link that you need to use to set up the text link on the page you are anchor linking from. Click here for instructions on how to setup a text link.

9. Save and Publish your website to see the changes take effect.

Hope that helps,

Chris
