1. Login to your store's control panel.
2. Click on the Products tab and choose the Add a Product menu option. addproduct2013-06-02_1337.png

3. Name your product, give it a price and place it in atleast one category. 2013-09-22_2253.png

4. In the Product type dropdown, select Downloadable product 2013-09-22_2254.png

5. Fill in the other details for your product, as necessary.

6. Scroll to the top of the page and click the Product Files tab. From here you can upload the files that the customer can download after buying this downloadable product from your store. productfiles2013-06-02_1341.png

The only required field is the File to Upload field. In this example we are choosing Upload a file from my computer. However, if you have larger or multiple files you may choose to upload files beforehand using WebDAV.

7. When you're done, click the Attach File to Product button. attach2013-06-02_1344.png

You can repeat steps 7 & 8 to upload as many product files as you like.

8. Click Save & Exit.

How to add a DL-zip folder and make downloadable after customer payment?
This may be the wrong category for this question but: So when we create a downloadable product, do we have to use Paypal as the only payment option? Can we use some other service? Maybe Intuit?

You can use any payment provider for a downloadable product.
Thank you. I copied and pasted that long list of payment providers that work with Homestead. Don't I have to use one of those? Or would it just help to ensure I have no problems in the future if I do?

You can use others, but the ones in the list will integrate with the software. Any others not on the list may not integrate, and may not work.
That's what I thought. Thank you.
