How do I add fields in the registration form in the account creation of my store?

The BigCommerce stores offer the option for the customers to create accounts. When an account is created, there are some fields which have to be filled with personal information like email, password, user name, etc. This article will show you how to add some extra fields for a customer to fill in when creating an account.

1.) Log in to your store's control panel.
2.) Go to Tools and then Form Fields.


3.) In the Account Signup Fields tab, click on Create a new field.
4.) You will have the possibility to choose what type of field you want to add. For instance, we're going to choose Numbers Only, give it the name "Telephone" and make it required.


5.) When a customer will create an account the sign up fields will look like this:
