There are several ways to access your Homestead email accounts.

1. You can go to www.homestead.com and click on the Webmail link at the top right corner of the page.

2.  You can go directly to the OpenXchange site by typing in the url, ie.  "https://emailmg.homestead.com "  or "https://email.yourdomain.com" . The following page will appear.  Be sure to include the"https" when typing the url.

3.  If you are already logged into your account on www.homestead.com you can click the "Email" link on the left hand menu.

In each case you will enter the actual email address in the username field, and the email address password in the password field to log in.

You can also configure a variety of 3rd party applications  on computer desktops (such as Outlook) and mobile devices (Iphones & Androids, etc.)  Instructions here.

Im VERY upset.  I have been with homestead 3 years and I am not able to access my email account. Did they change email servers?  What is the new link?

Hi nancy3757,

The basic account does not include email. It is an add on. Each address is $1/month. We would need to add those for you to see the email tab. You can add email under the Add on services tab, and then customize my website, or we can do so for you. Just let us know how many you need.

I don't think I asked the question properly. Let's try again. I'm organizing a run and using a form to have people register.  I would like their email to send them a reminder closer to the run.  There are probably 400 runners. Is there a way to do this, aside from cutting and pasting 400 times? Thanks, Nancy

Probably the easiest thing to do would be to use an email marketing program. You create a sign up form to place on your site. When the runners sign up it will automatically place them on the distribution list. When you are ready you can simply build the email and send it to the list.

With the Homestead form, you will need to add each runner to a distribution list manually. You would also need to have at least 2 lists, as we place sending limits to help avoid being marked as spam. Emailbrain and Mailchimp are a couple of good ones.

Thanks, where is the option to use the email marketing program when I log into my account?

These are 3rd party programs. Homestead doesn't have an email marketing program. You would sign up separately for this service.

email nightmare.

I can't access my homestead email from my default program, Windows Live mail, which has worked for the last couple of years. Live chat was useless, time suck with no resolution. I can't even access my email from webmail (live chat could but that didn't help me) the homestead email is available on my phone but I am usually being sent large documents that I need to print...

I turned off Norton, my antivirus, used Firefox and Explorer - no go:
this was the last message I received:

You have experienced an unexpected server error. We are working to resolve this problem as quickly as possible. Please try again later.

Because I'm probably not going to operate w/out security software and suddenly my system isn't compatible with homestead, I'm basically out of luck?

If you tested it with Norton turned off and it still won't let you log in, then there's probably something else wrong. We would never recommend that you operate without security software. That was of course meant to be a short term troubleshooting step.  What browser and version are you using?  did you try other browsers as mentioned above?  There's a chance that it could be something network related to.  Are you using a laptop or desktop computer? If it's a laptop can you try to logging in while connected to a different network and see if you still have the problem?

I usually use Firefox: I can't figure out how to find a version
or Chrome:Version 35.0.1916.114 m
I work from a desktop using a T-Mobile hotspot (only fast internet available here)
My android/T-Mobile phone has homestead e-mail set up and there seems to be no problem.
I am forwarding those emails to my personal email to work.
I haven't changed anything lately - a few months ago when homestead changed the email something I had to reset the POP - I had live support that walked me thru that and it worked OK - couldn't sync w/my phone after that. So I could see all the e-mails from either place but could only delete from the computer/PC. Yesterday I did log in once and was able to clear out all the old emails and empty the trash folder.

Firefox or Chome should be fine. This is starting to sound like more of a network problem. This sometimes happens with various wireless (wifi, hotspot, satellite, etc) connections.  Have you ever done an internet line quality/speed test?  A fast connection is not necessarily a quality connection, also upload and downloads speeds often vary dramatically. If there's not a good connection (up and down) , it may have problems authenticating.

Here is one free site you can use. You may want to test it multiple times from various locations and keep track of the results (packet loss, latency, jitter).
http://freeola.com/line-test/

Or, if you contact your ISP they will probably have a test that you can run also.

I called into support and two hours later that was his conclusion too. funny thing - I use T-mobile (only option besides dialup and Hughesnet) for both my hotspot and cell phone. The email works just fine on my phone. I can log into my webmail from my phone (I do get a message saying the security certificate for Homestead is bad) so I'll call T-mobile...wish me luck.

Rita9807,  this thread shows the various sites and ways to access your email.  I you are using one of these and it's not working, let us know specifically where you are running into problems or any errors that you are getting.  As far as not receiving email, I answered that question on another post but you have a forwarding address set up sending the email to a gmail account.

I tried to ask for help, got one response that it would take a few hours maybe. That was 5 days ago. I have not received anymore help, after I responded it still didn't work, and I still cannot log in. I try to access chat but it won't even load a chat session. I am not very satisfied at this time, but I sure hope I receive some customer support soon.

Yes, update the password. Make sure you have a number and upper and lower case letters
