We have had a number of good ideas for customer form and wanted to bring them together in one place.  Feel free to like the topic, and/or add form features that would help your business.

1) I would like to add Captcha(challenge phrase) to my form.

2) I would like to be able to create a secure form to help keep my customer's information private.

3) I would like to have an easier way to change the tab order of the elements.

4) I would like to be able to change the height and color of the form elements.

5) I would like to be able to accept uploaded files through my form.

Can I create a custom form & add the challenge phrase to it?.

Your pre-made form contains a challenge phrase. I want to create a custom form with a few additional questions, plus the challenge phrase, before submitting. Is this possible?

On our website I have included a select button (Check me - I am not a Robot) http://www.watermaid-europe.com/Contact_Us.html and made it as a condition of sending the form. Since then we have not received any false enquiries, before we were deluged with them

I'd like to create secure forms.

It would be nice if I could create a form using Site Builder + that is secure so my customers feel better about providing me with their personal information

That would be HUGE for us if we could do that. We have looked at 3rd parties, but it would be so much better to keep it all in one place on Site Builder.

...It'd also be nice if the forms would always work.

If you are looking into third party forms, I would personally recommend Jotform.com. They offer easy to build web forms, have a ton of expansion, and are more robust. They can easily be embedded into a Homestead website.

Or you guys can just make yours consistently work AND make them secure. That way nobody would have to get another company involved and they can just stay with Homestead.

Changing Custom Built Forms.

It would be great to be able to increase the height of text fields for custom forms as well as change the color of the boxes to a grey instead of always white.

Hi Julius9500,

I have added this to our idea topic concerning forms.  We currently don't have this functionality, but there are 3rd parties that do.  Jotform is a good example and can be easily added to your site.

Thanks

Drew

When I choose the options to start with a blank page, the program forces the user to add a phone number or it will not continue. The program identifies if the phone number is valid and I do not want the site programmed with a phone number identifying myself or my location.  This is a security issue.

Are you asking about forms? or are you saying you can't make a new page without having a phone number? Can you tell us the site and page so we can look at what is happening?

Is it possible that after all these years this request has been made that we can have a challenge to the online forms.
We receive a lot of Computer generated spam from the form and it is a nuisance as we delete them we could accidentally delete a genuine enquiry.

Drew Please - PLEASE MAKE IT HAPPEN

We just had a spammer fill out our online quote-request form. The phone number they included is fake. Is there any way to stop spammers from using our forms? Sounds like what David8832 was talking about.

I don't know how you could do that. A challenge phrase(CAPTCHA) can stop bots from doing it, but if someone filled it out, there is no way to know.

So is it now possible to have a challenge phrase on our form, which was created on Site Builder? I don't really want to use a form from an outside source. Would prefer to keep everything in one place. No 3rd-party forms.

I am sorry, it is only possible on the pre made forms. It is not possible on the custom forms at this time.

Where do I find the pre-made forms on Site Builder?

Again, I am sorry, but Sitebuilder desktop predates pre-made forms. They are available in Sitebuilder Plus, under the Insert button. You can edit your site in Sitebuilder Plus, but if you add a pre-made form and then use desktop again, it might remove the form as it isn't supported by desktop.

How can JotForm be added to our site?  I'm at the JotForm site (Integration section), and I don't see any way to integrate with Homestead-generated sites

Jolene1899, I believe Jotform can be added using an HTML box. I believe they also can host the form and you can link to it from your site.

Have any of these things been added, or at least in the works, since this post 4 years ago?

There is a tab order available in Sitebuilder Plus, and if you follow these instructions, you can have secure forms. Keep in mind that secure doesn't mean you can ask for credit cards, or social security numbers. While they are secure, the are not PCI compliant.
