Depress the Ctrl key and click each item then choose Group Elements on the editor.  OR  You can 'lasso' the whole group by depressing the Ctrl key and moving the mouse over the items you want to move and again choose Group so they stay together.  This won't work if you background is something other than the main background for the page such as a rectangle you've added because 'lassoing' will pick that up as well.

Place your cursor where you want the space and press the return key or use your inset image or insert text from your editor tool bar.
