Hi Robert:

Make a new page and load picture file in it and enlarge the picture to the size you want, then go back to the original page and click on the image and set it as a hyperlink to the new page, also set text below the picture to read "Click picture for an enlarge image" save and publish. When your website visitors click on the image they will go to the new page to a larger image.

Insert > More > Mouse over effect. You can add the second image using the image settings menu.
HOW TO MAKE A LARGER IMAGE:
You can use a photo gallery. Add a gallery and you may add a bunch of images to it and then click an image and it will enlarge.
Mouseover Effect is a good tool as well.
You select the image > scroll to the bottom of the Image Setting editor > Select the "pop-up" option.

I would use the photo gallery option.
For the photo gallery, click "Insert" > hover your mouse over "Image" and click "Photo Gallery". You can add multiple photo galleries and just place one picture per gallery, so you can format the site with more control.
The mouse over option is also helpful, but I don't think it will get the effect you are looking for, as it won't change the size of your image.

You can create a new page with the larger version of the picture, but that will bring them off of the page that they are on, and some people might have a difficult time getting back. This option is not recommended.

I tried this but it just puts another photo in the corner of my page. I think I am not explaining what I am trying to do. I have a page with actors headshots on it. I would like visitors to my page to be able to select any one of the images I have posted there, and click on it to see a larger version. Keep in mind I am a newbie. Thanks!

You will need to re-do those pictures basically. There is nothing that can be done to pictures you have already added as a regular image. You'll need to delete the image you already have, add an image gallery with the same image you deleted and move it to the place of the image you delete.
