I received an email from G-Suite, telling me that my Google Apps account for my (Homestead) domain (www.pitzigilpublications.com) hadn't been used in 365 days and would be canceled unless I logged in to admin.google.com, etc.  I didn't even know I HAD a Google Apps account!  I have no login/user name or password for it in my internet-accounts record book, and I can't login in to admin.google.com to do anything.  I don't mind if Google Apps gets canceled, because I obviously don't use it, but I'm worried that its cancelation might affect my domain/site...?  Please help, because I'm at my wits' end, trying to figure out how to do this by myself, and frustrated because nothing I try to do is working!

It could be a phishing scan. I am not sure, but you do not use G-Suite with this domain. Your email service runs through Homestead, and your domain is registered with us, so I don't see any connection that can be hurt by letting it lapse. By the way, G-Suite is a paid service, so if you have it, you would be paying for it. If not, it is probably a scam email. You might want to try to contact Google to check on it.

And, once again, Drew to the rescue!  Thank you, and PHEW!  I will definitely contact Google!  (I had to "google" Google to find their contact info, heh!) Thanks again--I can understand why you're the "Community Manager!"

Here I am again, unfortunately...I checked that questionable email again, and it looks genuine (it came from G-Suite, and it has the faded small print with the copyright symbol saying © 2017 Google Inc 1600 Amphitheater Way, etc. and it's a DO NOT REPLY, etc.).  I used the "contact Google page" I'd found and mentioned in my previous comment/post, but there's no chat or email option, and none of the choices of topic "fit" this problem, not even the G-Suite one.  I then "googled" how to contact "Google Apps" and it directed me to G-Suite (argh!) and that's as far as I can go without the appropriate login info.  I'm still stymied.  I do have a g-mail account attached to my business name, and my business is listed on Google (I just did that a week or so ago)--I'd think this problem was associated with that, but their email mention my website by name, so...?  Would Google Apps have been available when I started my Intuit/Homestead website several years ago?  Google Apps were free back then, and somehow I subscribed to it/them???  I found this in a 2011 report by techrepublic :  A Google Apps account (stressing the words "apps") is an account associated with a domain that uses Google Apps (mail, calendar, docs and sites) for messaging and collaboration. When this product was first introduced it was called "Google Apps for Your Domain, then it was called "Google Apps Standard Edition" and now it's just "Google Apps".  -- I would not have subscribed to anything associated with the "cloud" back then, if it was around, because I would have been a little leery of my files, etc. being held there.

Google Apps was free a few years ago and then became a premium service. Additionally Google Apps was renamed to G-Suite, so that is why you are being redirected. 1-877-355-5787 is the US number for G-Suite that I found. They may or may not talk to you since you may have a free Apps account, but again, you currently are not using it for this domain. All records are pointing to Homestead. Unfortunately, I really can't do much about Google services, other than to see if I can point you somewhere. I would give them a call and see what they say.

OK, thanks, Drew...I'll check out that phone number, and thank you for finding it!  I agree that it's because of the free Apps that I received the troublesome email.  If someone at the 877# won't explain why I received that email, or point me to someone who will, I'll just give up and see what happens...  I now know my Homestead website shouldn't  be affected, so I'm much (much) calmer, thanks to you!
