The design template I have selected duplicates a large header on all pages. I like it on the main landing page, but I can't find a setting to hide it on sub-pages. http://mandalaridgeretreats.com Please advise.

In order to not have the header on all other menu pages, you need to create those pages using a "blank" page and just copy/paste or add the elements you like TO those blank pages.

Hi Lynn. Thanks, but the header shows up when I add the "blank" page also. There's got to be a way to hide it.

I see that you are correct it does have a header.  I took a look at the available tools and it looks like you are stuck with a header on each page.  This is probably a good thing, especially for people viewing the sight on mobile (which seems to be the current norm these days)  Before you panic, be sure to take a look at your site ON mobile (there is a preview in the editor, but I highly recommend looking at it on your actual phone for any thing you want to adjust)  I think you will find that the giant header looks much more acceptable and smaller on the mobile device.

Maybe you can just make the large picture separate from the navigation bar and not officially part of the header, yet keep it close enough so that it looks like it's part of the header, and just post it on your home page. Then it won't "travel" with the header to your other pages.

That just might work!

Hello,

Header and footer sections do appear on all pages. The only way to avoid it is to delete the header section and just use a normal section at the top of each page. This will allow you to have different information at the top of each page.
