How to get a blog entry to appear on website page?

I have tried repeatedly to publish a blog for my site. After completing the blog entry on the blog editor and then clicking Publish, I'm not able to figure out what the next step is in order for it to actually appear on a page in order for the public to be able to see it. I understand that I'm likely showing off my stupidity here. But it would be nice for someone other than myself to be able to see it.

Did you add the blog element to a page? Click Insert and hover your mouse over the Text option. A menu pops down and you can select blog.

Yes I did add the blog element to a page. I then click the new entry link, type in my blurb into the text box, and when I'm done I clicked the publish link. I then am told I successfully published the entry. But no text shows up in the blog element on the page. What am I missing here Drew?
