Which site is it for? and do you want a form that they fill out? or more like a store where they add items to a cart and checkout? How do you see the flow going?

I received a phone call and it was determined that the ecommerce cannot do what I want it to. The site is not built yet, I am gathering info for my client to see if they want to move forward, their old site is www.fhea.org
They have a simple registration form and take payment via pay pal.

You might be able to handle this with a 3rd party form builder. I believe Jotform.com can take payments. It might be something that can be generated from within Paypal as well.

I use Paypal so have no info on jot form. With paypal you set up an a account with them and they provide HTML code for the website for a pay now button. That directs the customer to your Paypal Account which is HTTPS ( a secure website) they handle the payment and then the customer is directed back to a Thank you page you create on your website. Obviously there are charges but I do not think unreasonable. I am assuming jotform are similar but I am guessing it will depend on how many items you would be selling via the website.

If I am understanding correctly, they need a form filled out which also includes a payment. I am not sure Paypal has this option, but jotform used to. I am sure there are several form builders out there that also have this option.

Brian-can you confirm if Paypal has the option of having a form filled out in connection with the payment being taken?

Susan, I only have one ebook so my account is quite simple, they click buy now, it opens the paypal payment page, they enter their payment details and once done, the are automatically directed to my book download...... but check out the paypal business account and see what's on offer. This link is to their business account ( which is free to set up) and they seem to offer a full range of services.https://www.paypal.com/uk/webapps/mpp/merchant this is the UK version so if you wanted to look a bit deeper then access paypal, choose business accounts for your country...
