How to add a video from my pc to a page using the new online, cloud, site builder? I like the old one much better. This one only allows a you tube video, it seems? The old one I could click insert... simple, even control whether the video will play automatically. I wish I had a choice to use the old software. Help, please. Thank you.

I haven't used the new Websitebuilder software but I understand that after you make the learning curve it's really a lot better format and produces a great site. It's a "Responsive design" and is the new phase of internet development. Google won't be tracking the old software. We need to keep up. No one's using a horse and buggy any more.
The homestead staff will address you question in the morning. Be patient with them. They provide a good service for us non professionals seeking cheap advise.

I can make the old builder available to you if you really wish to, but the new one really is a better option.

We removed the option to upload your own videos and the stream is a better experience for most people, and we were having too many people upload copyrighted material to their websites.

I don't upload copyright material. Yes, please, please make the old software available to me. I have been with you for nearly 20 years. I know how to use it, and am happy with it. There isn't even a spell checker in the new one, and i couldn't copy & paste text I wrote and edited first in Microsoft Word, which I used to do. How do i go about getting the software back, which is still available for the older site I made?  Thank you.

I have created a new site you can choose a template for called "cavallotti3.homestead.com".

One more favour, please; I have created a few pages already using the new cloud builder software: How to delete a lower section from a page without affecting other pages? The problem I have is when I add an element to one specific page, or even move it or cover it up, the same action is repeated on other pages. How to delete without affecting other pages?

With the WebsiteBuilder, you will see that the Header and Footer section will share the same elements on all of the pages across. Is there a specific element above the footer that is doing this?

I think I got it, managed to delete it and place a menu in a different style on a different page without changing the previous. Thank you. But, since you're so knowledgeable and helpful :) please tell me:  1- On new cloud builder software, is there a way to link a button on a navigation menu to a page on a different site, not the pages of the same site where the menu is? i.e. the menu lists the pages of the site only, what if I wanted to a button within the menu to link to another site? So far it seems the only way is a separate link outside the that menu.   2-. on the old homestead.com builder software for the cavallotti3.homestead.com you gave me to allow me to use the familiar old software and post a party video. I don't know if it is missing anything else, but it doesn't have the option to password-protect a page like the old software did. I'll be posting the group address info which we print and distribute, but no one other the group should access it. Thank you very much, son.

Also, in the new cloud builder software, how to delete the top photo (of the club building) from other pages and insert different others if I wanted to, while keeping it on opening-home page? If I delete from another page it is deleted from all! Thank you very much indeed.

Yes. The navigation menu only links to pages on the site, but you can add a button and link it to another site. You can also link text or images to other sites.

To password protect a page, you must disable the master page for that page. This means you will need to add those elements back to the page. The navigation menu will not display on the password protected page, so you will need to link text or a button back to the main site. You can turn off the master page under page settings.

All elements in the header and footer will display on all pages.

Well, sorry, son. I couldn't find the option to disable the master page of a specific page. Under what button/option do I find it? Thanks for your patience.

Click on the button between Page settings and Insert. You will see the yellow bar that says changes will be on all pages.

I am sorry. Which site are you working on for this? Is it the new builder site?
