Have another website I manage that's on the old sitebuilder and I use a drop down menu from drop down generator, which I love. However, I know that the new "Website Builder" software doesn't allow you to view your file manager. So there is no way to upload my .js file. When I just enter in the html, it will not show the drop down menus, it is almost like the html is behind everything, even though I have hit "bring forward" a thousand times.

I know that homestead has their own drop down navigation now, but that tool does not work for what I need.

Can anyone help with this?!

I wish we could have the option to use the old site builder.

It is SO EASY to add a drop down menu.  You don't need any extra stuff.  Go to your Pages>Manage Pages (pop up) then drag the pages you want as the drop down pages upto/under the main page you want to use.  That's it.  I am also pretty sure you can get to your files (manager)  Give me a minute and I'll see & get back to you.

I don't like the Homestead drop down menu, I need links to external addresses within the drop down menu, to pdfs and more. So it doesn't fit my needs. That is why I'm using my menu from drop down generator. But for some reason it's not working right under this new Websitebuilder :(

Under ELEMENTS, there is a FILES option.  Choose that.  From there you will see that you can get to your images and documents.

I've gotten to my documents. but for some reason the formatting of the HTML "element" within homestead isn't working correctly. The drop down shows up. Let me share a picture of my issue. That might help

There are more drop downs below "Extension Office" but they won't show

Hello,

Lynn is correct with the instructions for creating drop down menus in the newer builder. Unfortunately, you cannot link to anything other than a Homestead page. You would need to either create buttons for navigation to any external links, or find 3rd party HTML that will allow you this functionality.

That's what I'm trying to do is use a 3rd party html. But the Websitebuilder html element isn't working properly (see above picture)

Hmmm. Not at all sure why the other "pages" wouldn't show in the drop down.  I have more than 2 on some of mine and they show up fine.  Not sure it would work, but in the actual Page Manager of the page, there is an option to change the page URL, so you can try unchecking the box shown here and use the URL of the external link?

The drop down menu pictured isn't a Homestead drop down menu, its a 3rd party HTML drop down menu

Right now, that HTML isn't even pulling up any drop downs on my end. Unfortunately, I would be unable to troubleshoot this since it is 3rd party code. I would double check with that company that the code is correct.

In the screenshot you provided above, it looks like there are more menu items, but they are behind other elements. You would probably need to pull that element forward so it displays on top of other elements.
