I noticed that someone mentioned changing their WebsiteBuilder mobile view to look same as desktop view.  Just out of curiosity, how is this done?  Can you still edit it independently from the desktop version?
Thanks!

Hi Susan:

I build my clients websites on a desktop and the images I see on the mobile section do not look anything like the desktop version. When I check them on my smart android phone they look like the desktop version. So I do not worry about them. If you own a cell phone check it out and let me know
what you see.

Thanks Les, but I haven't published my site while I'm building it... I am kinda nervous to publish in case any of it gets "found" while it unfinished.  Are you saying that what I see in the mobile setting may not appear at all?  That would suit me fine!
May I have a look at a site you have built on the new WebsiteBuilder?  I am only building one site, for my daughter's small custom cake business.  I also have a site for myself, I am an artist, and I am planning to probably rebuild that site as well.
Thanks again Les, for your willingness to help!

Susan, here is what I do when building a website. Set up your first page and type "WEBSITE UNDER CONSTRUCTION" in the center of the page in large letters, (Not too large) and make the page the first one people see. Then you can go about building your website and look at the published version with out other people seeing it. Do you have a smart phone?

Here is the link to one of my sites ithacawebsitedesign.com
Glad to help.

Thanks Les, I'll try that!  But how do I make sure a page is the first one people will see?

Susan, go to your edit page then go to a blank page that you set up as "WEBSITE UNDER CONSTRUCTION" click on "Pages" on top of the section you will see a "blue box" that say's "MANAGE PAGES" click on that and another box opens up. At the top of the box you will see a box the top line will say "PAGE INFORMATION" click on that, then over to the right side check the little box and select which page you want to be the home page. Then save, that should do the trick. Let me know how you make out.

Hello Susan,

If you haven't published your site yet, please do not until you are ready to do so. It will be better for your SEO. The preview function of the builder works just fine.

Turning off the mobile view and switching it to desktop view in Website Builder is not recommended. No, you will not be able to edit it separately, so however the desktop content appears in mobile is how it is going to stay, and it probably will not look good. It will also have a negative impact on your SEO.

Thanks Elyzabeth... I haven't published yet and I have decided not to attempt to do so until I am sure it is ready.  I thought I was almost done but then had an "artistic vision" crisis and now that I am more sure of what I am doing, I am going back and re-creating my site (again) but this time making it look almost identical to the one I built with SiteBuilder Plus.  Oh my!  Talk about learning as you go!  Oh, I have also stumbled upon a number of ways to make the mobile version look better.  My main problem was HAVING TOO MANY LAYERS!
Thanks again...
