Hello, I created a Homestead website to sell one product online, and I am very pleased with how it came out, and how simple it was to do. I need a shopping cart to take credit cards, and provide a list of orders that I can forward to a fulfillment house. I do not need a store, just a shopping cart. Homestead used to sell a shopping cart, and all this information was easily accessible on your website. Now I don't see it. I have never done credit card processing before, and I was hoping learning all this would be painless. How can you help me? Also why isn't there a web page that has all this information, like it used to, just to buy your shopping cart? Why aren't you advertising your shopping cart like you used to? By having to post this question, selling my product is already more difficult than I was hoping it would be. If someone did not buy a website like me, they couldn't even ask about a shopping cart.  I hope someone can easily steer me in the right direction. Thank you.

We have 3 ways to sell items online. The first is Storefront, which it doesn't seem like you need. The next is our Simplestore that allows you to create a shopping cart for items, or add a single product pay button, and the third is to add Paypal buttons.

Thank you both for your responses.

You are recommending the Simple Store.  But I am also seeing another choice, the Advanced Store.  I will need a report of daily orders to forward to a fulfillment company.  Will the Simple Store not provide this?  Can the Advanced Store provide such a report, or better yet a spreadsheet?

Since I am selling only one product, I do not need a page showing all the products, but just have a button on my site to add it to the shopping cart, and maybe show shipping options.  Maybe I can use your feature called "Single Click Apps & Integration".  Can you tell me what this is?

You say I do not need Storefront.  But I cannot find or search for it on Homestead.com to know what it is.  So can you please tell me what it is, and why I don't need it?

How can I purchase the Advanced Store if that is what I need?  I am already a Homestead website customer.  Do I get a one month free trial period, even though I have been using your website services for years?

Your site says you have ECommerce training videos.  I have never done ECommerce, nor do I have a merchant account.  I hope you videos will fill in the gaps I have.  Do you have free phone support if I buy your ECommerce solution?  Can I view any Advanced Store videos before I buy, to make sure it will get the job done?

Do you have any more information that can elaborate on the features you show on the left side of the page for  http://www.homestead.com/Advancedstore#.VoB_E8svkhc  so I can have a good understanding of your product before I commit to it?  I would also like to see what kind of reports the Advanced Store provides.

Thank you very much for your help.

Robert

If I had known it was this easy to set up, I'd have done it 2 years ago. I have the simple store, $29.95. It was just that, 3 hours set up and to put up 25 items online. You must set up a merchant account with their vendor. Easy. You get 100 item to sell. If you have more items, you'll need their deluxe version for $79,95 mo. No freebees.

Thank you themieleman for your quick response.

Drew, I hope you or someone can answer some of the other questions I asked, regarding if I can get the report or spreadsheet that I will need to forward to a fulfillment house, and if I can bypass the product list the shopper sees and go right to the shopping cart showing the only item I am selling.

I'm a little confused because your website says the SimpleStore is $14.95, not $29.95.  Also I'd like to find out what Storefront is.

I can't see where to buy the Advanced Store.  I'm also looking for some elaboration on the features your website mentions on your Advanced Store page, or any additional information or videos before I buy.  Also will free phone support be available?

Thank you,

Robert

The SimpleStore would not be able to provide a spreadsheet of data. You would have to collect the data per each transaction with email invoices that are sent out.

You can see a few more details here about the $29.95 Storefront. Also, you would be able to export a spreadsheet of data if you would like with this.

Thank you Todd for your reply.

The link you sent is actually for the Advanced Store, which I saw, and not for the Storefront.

Is it possible that I can get a list of reports and spreadsheet exports that the Advanced Store provides?  Can I possibly be directed to some videos or additional info on it before I buy it?

I would like to buy the Advanced Store if it gives me the export or report that I need containing daily orders, and integrates my one product nicely.  But I do not see where an existing customer can buy it, but I see it available for new customers.  Do I have to call to buy it, or can I just order it from your website?

Thank you.

You will have to call in to add the BigCommerce package. With the account, you could export the sheets. You may also use payment processing apps to assist with building reports.

https://support.bigcommerce.com/university is a useful source of videos for the BigCommerce platform.
