How do I unsubscribe from community emails?

If you are getting email notifications about posts on the Homestead community and no longer wish to receive them, you can look in a few places.

1) The bottom of the email has a link to stop receiving the message about that topic.

2) The email also contains a link to the topic. If you click it, you will see an unfollow button.


3) Click on your profile picture and unfollow the subjects you no longer want to see



4) You may have also subscribed to a category. Go to the categories page. Consider the content of the emails you have received and click on the appropriate category and unfollow the category.

I want to stop receiving notifiactions about e-mail support. I click on "To stop receiving notifications about Email Support, click here." which appears at the bottom of each e-mail posted, which takes me to the Homestead Community page, but I can't find where do go from there.

I am actually having the opposite problem. Topics I am following (an specifically including two recent posts by me), I have not received e-mail notifications. I do receive periodic e-mails (although lower amounts than in the past) did not realize there might be a problem until I did not receive my own postings and your reply notifications. My settings seem to be as they always have been and on the Community does show I am following. Any ideas?

You typically would not receive emails for your posts, but you should receive my replies. Can you tell me one that you did not receive? Maybe we can track down where it went wrong? It is possible the mail provider is blocking it as spam, or, did you check in your spam folder?

They are not in a 'spam' folder and I have not received any reply notifications on all three recent posts. Also the 'BC Shipping Post' is no longer showing in my Profile for easy access (that won't make it go away for me - this is a deal breaker or more like last straw 20 years later).

I am having the community provider look into these 2 issues for you. I have seen their emails blocked by servers before, so their mail administrator is going to have to track that. The topic not being in your profile any longer seems like it must be a database issue where the tag isn't working. I unfollowed the topic and followed it again and it still did not work, so I have also asked them to look at that.

I do not want to get emails from this thread any more and cannot figure out how to get off it. I tried past  posts for answers and it isn't working.

You may have gotten subscribed to a category. Take a look at the original post. If you still can't get it to stop, can you tell me if they are all the same topic, or different?

This is seiously distressing me,
I am getting every category, probably as many as you! Please STOP them , I have been away from PC for a couple of days and using other devices .There are so many to delete now. The same with tablet and phone. This address is the only help Homestead provides outside US. If it doesn't stop, I will have to get BT to block this email addres and then I cannot seek help at all.. My name appeared alongside you paid emp;oyees the other day so something has gone very wrong.

Audrey, have you tried to change your E Mail notifications. go to top right of the forum and click on your icon and choose profile. At the top choose Email & Notifications. and remove all the ticks from boxes you dont want to receive emails about and then save settings. Scroll down to all the headings and remove any other ticked boxes. See if that helps.

Audrey1969, This topic shows you how to unfollow topics and categories. You managed to follow several categories. If you follow a category, you will get emails for anything posted to that category. I believe I have unsubscribed you from all categories and all topics, but this one. Any time you post to a topic, you will get responses, but you can stop those by unsubscribing from the email. If you are subscribed to a category, you need to unfollow the category. If you get any mail from a post other than this one, then look to the top of this topic to see where to look to remove yourself.

Drew, I’ve asked a few questions PRIVATELY and received the replies from you in my email inbox, which was fine, and thank you for that. However, I did not ask / subscribe to any notifications from community. And now, I have to waste time to try to find out how to unsubscribe from these... Why was I placed on this list without my consent??? Thanks.

You are subscribed to any topic you create and post in, or any time you hit the Follow button on a topic or category. I found one topic you were subscribed to, and I unfollowed it for you. You can also look at your email notification preferences. Click on your name at the top right. You can subscribe to all community emails if you check all the boxes there, but this is not the default, so you would have had to check them if they are checked.
