How do I take website down, not published, temporarily?

I don't think you can do that, However it is possible to make the first page blank so as visitors can't see you website.

Hello Dan,

You can certainly do that. Simply log into your builder, click on your domain in the top right corner, and click "View File Manager". Then select your pages and click unpublish.

So far neither of these work. For example, if you are using homesteadcloud.com address there is no "domain" top right corner. What I did was really simple. Simply rename the site by adding a "1" to the address. Anyone going to the former will get a message saying there is no such address. When you want to turn it back on, then go back and rename it back to the original address name.

This is because you are using Website Builder, and the person who originally posted the question posted it under the Sitebuilder Plus category. They are two different builders, so their instructions will be different. I'm glad you found something that works for you.
