Whenever I paste text from an external source, such as Microsoft Word, into a text box, I am told my browser settings require me to paste it as plain text in a separate window. So I have to reformat my text all over again. How do I adjust my browser settings, or what else can I do, to avoid that? I use Chrome, but will use any browser if that is an issue. Thanks to any and all who answer.

Copy the text from your document, open a text box and paste. You'll get a pop up command box that require the text be pasted again. Follow the instructions in the command box.

Thanks for responding, but that loses the formatting.

Thank you, but the question is how to retain the formatting, not lose it to plain text and have to reformat the text, ie: bold, headlines, centering, etc.

Hi Bob1065,

Unfortunately, you can't. Word is a sophisticated word processing program, way beyond website builders. The problem is, when copying and pasting from Word, extra snippets of code come over sometimes and cause all kinds of weird things to happen. Colors change, code displays in the text, and other things. That is why the text box removes formatting. Sorry, but that was the choice that was made.

Thanks Drew. I was afraid of that, but I understand it.
