Tables can be a useful tool to create uniform sets of content on your site. They are now built in to Sitebuilder Plus. You can add a table from Insert > Text
Hover your mouse over text until the menu pops out.

The table will be placed on the stage. You may move it around and resize it.
In the properties editor to the right, you can set colors, padding and add and remove columns and rows. As it shows, double click in a cell to edit the cell content.

Thank you Drew. Not had the need to use a table on a website so far but I now see the potential. "Learning all the time"

We need to be able to create links from the table text! Any chance of that happening ASAP?

This is an idea for the developers to review
Please reference the new conversation here: Make it so we can link from the tables?

My two cents:
I would NOT ONLY like to be able to link from text in a cell in a table, but I WOULD LIKE to be able to insert images into a cell in the table too. Thank you!
I have used the HTML insert of a table. But that is problematic for me for quick insertion changes to the site. As it is cumbersome to not see the table in the builder. It is only viewable once published. And there are all these work-around processes to do first before coming back to Sitebuilder to work
I can picture the process of making the table in WORD, making screen shot of table in WORD, and inserting image into sitebuilder. But this work-around, too, is cumbersome for quick insertion changes to the site.
WYSIWYG is more streamline, has less room for user error, can be accomplished quicker, and would make your users less frustrated. Thank you.

A year later I concur with Jenna that clickable links are needed in the table - along with the ability to change the text to match the rest of our site and change the column widths according to our own needs. The ability to type directly into the table would be practical too - instead of the silly pop up box - I need to create a table for 500 entries - the pop up box is driving me bananas.

I have passed this on to the development staff again for their consideration. I do hope they can get it done, as they are good ideas. Unfortunately, it isn't going to be something that can happen very quickly.

9 months down the track - just checking if this suggestion ever went anywhere as I gave up and used Word to create tables that actually match my website text and I can adjust the columns to any size I need.

It has not been a particularly popular request. It is still a possibility, especially if more people make the request.

I'm going to second this request...in addition to wanting to change the text color, size, and justification. I could really use this tool (sorry, just found it) for our website but I would like to be able to adjust the text as well as linking the text. Thanks!

I am making the request as well. Not being able to format cells/columns/rows or put links in tables limits their usability. This would make life sooo much easier.Thank you!

Something else - if someone can confirm - is the text in the table picked up in a google search ? I am wanting to use the table for a passenger list from a ship - at the moment I just have all the passengers in a long text list and that is successfully being picked up in google searches - if I move all the names into a table will that destroy the searchability ?

There is no reason that Google wouldn't be able to index this information.

Drew, I REALLY need a list-style calendar that holds more information than I can fit on the page. Much more. Can I use this table feature to insert a scrolling frame on my page, and can I easily edit information displayed in it? Hate to go back to typing the raw code:-b Alternately, can I insert a Google Calendar into the frame and scroll? Am I making this more difficult than it is? Maybe you have a wizard by now...

You can embed a Google calendar using an HTML box. That might work to your satisfaction. The table feature may also work, but I am not sure if it will suit your needs or not.

Hey MaryLouise5639
I would definitely like to hear what exactly you are looking for when you say "Complex Table". What features do you need? There is the table available on the builder that is mentioned in this article.
Other than that, this article might help:

thank you for your reply. Looking for something that is similar to the Simple Table app that is available for Weebly.

Hi MaryLouise5639, This topic shows how to add a table at the top. I would think it would suit your needs, unless you need to add links within the table. Other than the HTML controls, it is similar to the Simple Table.

Can I create a "table" in Website Builder? In the new programme? There is a Schedule in one of the designed sections, and its very useful. But I can not adjust size columns or change colours...Pls advice

There is not a table element in Website Builder. It is definitely an idea that has been mentioned, and I will certainly pass on the feedback again in the hopes that this a feature they decide to add. For now, you would either need to manually create a table using lines or use a 3rd party to create your table and embed it.

I basically gave up on the idea of using the existing table function as its just not usable or modifiable, and instead used the suggestion someone else had here re creating the tables in Word then saving as a webpage and adding the HTML code into a box. Thats worked for one of my specific needs. Wondering if anyone has done this with excel and could tell me whether - if I freeze the panes in an excel spreadsheet (ie the top row and the first column) - when I then save as a webpage and pull up the HTML code and insert that into my homestead webpage - will the freeze panes carry over with the code ? Thanks in advance.
