How do I "group" a text box with a rectangle

I want to group a text box with a background colored rectangle so I can move them around as a group and not have to do it individually?

Hold the shift key down and click on each element one at a time. On the right you should then see a check box to group the elements. You should also be able to click on open space and drag a selection square over the desired elements. Whichever option works best for you.
