I have used SiteBuilder for a number of years and have a lot of experience with it.  I am currently in the process of a re-design of one of my sites and I want to do something I have been unable to do so far :P

I want a rectangle or banner to go across the ENTIRE screen.  NOT just the length of my site width.  As an example, please visit www.wearecentralpa.com.  The pic banner is the length of the screen, not just the site.  If anyone has any information on how I can accomplish this, I would greatly appreciate the input.  I have tried extending the width of my site, and adding the rectangle, it still doesn't accomplish what I want.  Thanks!

Select Insert>text: Use your mouse to shape the box>delete the text>select background color>etc.

Thanks for the input, but that did not work either.  See how it doesn't go the length of the screen like the pic banner did on my original post?  I am trying to get it to go across the whole screen.  Even on this page of Homestead, it is done lol.  I can't get it to work on MY site :(

You're referring to the red band across the top?
You can take it as wide as your page width dimension. You can make it as long or tall as the entire page or more by dragging the bottom line with your mouse or by using the enter key while using the edit feature. You can use the field as a background by using the "move element" forward or back tool.

I understand what you're saying lol.  I took another screen shot of this page.  See the blue rectangle and the grey rectangle below it?  THAT is what I am trying to do!  I have adjusted the page width, and tried to put it in, but then it throws my site off kilter because it shows a scroll bar at the bottom of the screen.  Make sense?

It goes across the length of the screen, not just the site and it doesn't make the center of the site uneven.  I don't know how else to explain what I am trying to do.

What are you wanting the wide blue bar and the grey bar to do?  Do you want it to be a background frame? Are you trying to layer field colors?

You can create the box in any size you want. It's created the same way you'd create any text. It can be insert the same way. You can produce the shape of the text box using only your mouse. Also, you can select Text Settings>Position and Size. You can then position the box on the page by selecting the text box and then drag it into the position your wanting. You can color the box and position it as a background.

I believe what you are looking for is something similar to creating a fixed header with CSS. You would want to add this as custom coding, however we would not be able to support or troubleshoot the this.
