Email forwarding is not recommended. If you have multiple email addresses that you check regularly, you are better off using an email client to check all accounts. Feel free to read our topic on forwarding.

If you must forward, you may set it up within the email tab of your Homestead account. You may enter only 1 address to forward to.

1) Log in to your Homestead account.

2) Click on the email tab on the left side. Click on Manage my email accounts.
Note: If you have multiple domains on the account you need to select the desired domain.

3) Look for the desired email address and click the pencil(edit) icon to the right.

4) Click on Advanced options(if necessary) and enter the address in the forwarding box. Click save.
Note: It may take some time before the forward begins to work, so please give it a couple hours before letting us know.

While I understand your cautions about using email forwarding, being able to forward to multiple email addresses from the same email account is a useful feature for our organization.  We use that capability to forward to 2 or 3 people email messages to accounts sending us notices and transaction details, and discovered today that the ability to set that up has been removed by Homestead.  This creates an inconvenience for us, and would like to see the capability to indicate multiple forward email recipients restored.

Setting up emails as IMAP may be a good recommendation for each person checking a box. I am very sorry for the inconvenience, but you can find the IMAP settings here.

I set up email forwarding to another account years ago before we Roundcube. Now , I need to reverse it and I cannot find where to make the change. I do not want to forward emails from homestead to my other account.

Jean-Wilner7166, just remove the email from the forward box and save. It can take a while to stop, so please be patient.

We would like the ability to forward emails to more than one account.  We have three owners and rather than give out three addresses to people, we had one address that then would go to the three of us.  We would like to be in control of what we do.

While I understand, now the issue for us is with three owners, and open 7 days a week, if someone sends us an email from our website to the info address, the person it gets forwarded to may not be at the store.  He/she has to then take the time to manually forward that email to someone who is present at the store.  If we could have the email go to the three owners, the customer gets a knowledgeable reply within minutes, not hours.  Thus we are losing valuable time to react to  a customers needs.

Or the alternative is that we have to load the info address to each phone, thus having one more email address on the phone.

I understand, and am sorry. I have logged your desire, but this is not something that may change in the near future. If anything, forwarding is being discontinued in most places, as a forwarded email looks similar to spam to mail servers, and new methods of spam prevention actually will block forwards in many cases.

the forward option is still in homestead.  I tried to forward my emails to my gmail and it returns to sender.

That is Google. They sometimes do this. Many mail providers do not like forwarding email. it looks like spam to the filters. Sometimes it helps if you remove the forward and make a filter within Roundcube.

The best solution is to setup gmail to check your mail directly.

what if there is no email address in the forward box?  Then how would you undo the forward?

There is nothing there and your messages are still forwarding? Where are they forwarding to? Try adding the forwarding address again and wait a couple hours or more then remove it again.
