Homestead Websitebuilder creates and publishes the sitemap.xml file automatically for you. There is no longer a need to generate it and upload to the site. You can view your sitemap by going to http://www.yourdomain/sitemap.xml

cncsignmaker, you are using Sitebuilder, not Websitebuilder. The names are a bit too close. You need to generate the sitemap and upload it via the file manager. Read this topic if you need help.

I'm using web builder and have checked my sitemap and it is there (thank you for the address to find that).  Do you know how long before SE's crawl the site and it will start showing up on Google, Bing, Yahoo, etc.?  Or is there something more I should do (shy of paying for SEO)? :)

We do not have a way to know when they will crawl the site. It can take a few weeks. I would recommend using resources like Google Search Console and Webmaster Tools to help speed this process up.
