How can I switch to a domain I added? Currently getting a 404

I added a domain name (joanssong.com) to point to  my existing site (joanssongfilmaustin). Now joanssong.com gives me a 404 error, which is linked resolves to a https://www.www.joanssong.austin.com site. In the domain manager joanssong looks to be pointing correctly. Can you help? Thanks.

WebsiteBuilder works a little differently than Sitebuilder Plus did when it comes to domains. With the new editor, we can only assign one domain to it properly. Did you want it set that when someone types joanssong.com they will be redirected to joanssongfilmaustin.com?

We want the primary to be joanssong. I thought I could do a redirect and a rename. Is that not possible?

Actually - since only one can be assigned, why did it give me the option of adding the extra domain as a renaming? If I want to use joanssong.com as the primary would I need to rebuild the site? How do I get that to be my primary site since it is pointing to joanssongaustinfilm?

You can rename the site name, but the newest editor, WebsiteBuilder only allows one domain to be associated. Sometimes a second domain will become attached to it, but it will not load the site. Instead, we would redirect a domain to that site. Sitebuilder Plus is our older editor that allowed multiple domains to be attached to one website.

I do see you called support already, were they able to get everything taken care of?
