I want to back up/archive my email boxes to my hard drive without having to open each individual email. A zip file archive would be ideal. I keep reading that this is possible, but it seems to be referring to a previous version of Roundcube. If I can't do it within the Roundcube program, is there another program that will allow me to extract those files and save to my hard drive? Thanks!

Hello,

Roundcube does require performing this individually. A quicker way would be to set up a pop connection to another email client such as Outlook to add the emails to their server. https://community.homestead.com/homestead/topics/email-client-settings Then create a bulk archive with their tools. Otherwise it will need to be done one by one.

Michelle, if I add a pop connection, can it import my EXISTING emails to Outlook? I'd like to get rid of my current emails but have them archived in case of future need. Does that make sense?

When you set up the connection it will populate all the current emails in the mailbox to Outlook.

Michelle, I must be missing something... I set up an outlook account and I connected both of my homestead/roundcube accounts to it but I can't find my emails in the outlook account. Do I need to sync the two accounts? How would I do that? I thought it was going to populate automatically, but I can't find them if they are there. Help!

Once you input the server settings listed in this article https://community.homestead.com/homestead/topics/email-client-settings the accounts should automatically sync and the emails will populate. If not, you can see if outlook has a manual sync option.
