Homestead emails bouncing back or not delivered

Is anyone else having problems with emails either not being delivered or bouncing back?  I've had it happen several times to the point that I am beginning to lose faith that all emails are being delivered.  With a couple of clientes, it has gotten to the point where I send invoices from my personal MSN account to assure delivery.

Is this happening to anyone else?

Yes, I have sent a couple of emails as a test to my email address on Homestead they haven’t arrived my inbox is completely empty, however they have been redirected to my non Homestead email address on my iPhone..

If I fill in contact form on my website the email comes straight to my non Homestead email address on my iPhone but nothing shows either way in homestead email account. Hope this makes sense I am also waiting for an answer as to why this happens.

Are you sending from Roundcube or an email program like Outlook?

I have a number of emails that bounce back.  Usually if not always to some government entity.  I need help because I face fines if these don't get delivered.

I'm having to send all my emails through my yahoo account to assure they get through.  I don't want to do this.  Can we not get Roundcube to work any better than this?  I really would like to be professional in my emails.

Hi Joel, The problem is not really Roundcube. If your issue is with government addresses, then they have made an update that requires that you have a pair of DNS records. One is a DKIM and one is DMARC. Unfortunately, our nameservers do not support the DKIM at this time. We are working on a solution for that issue. Right now, you can switch your nameservers to Cloudflare nameservers so that you are able to add these records. This will also give you the added benefit of getting an SSL secured website. This can help your search rankings as well.
Please make sure to follow the steps in that topic exactly. There is a point you may need to stop and wait for a few hours before completing the setup. After you have successfully completed that, you can read our topic for adding the DKIM and DMARC records. This should solve the issue with government-owned addresses.

I'm happy to help with any questions you have along the way, but unfortunately, since this procedure does require you to set up a 3rd party account with Cloudflare, I am not able to do this for you.

When I downloaded both outlook and outlook.com. 365 , I did try and checked the box none, but now it's sending via eigbox? I even tried the roundcube email and it wouldn't even send an email. i did the ports above, still does not work. I've lost countless of time as well. Should i be calling outlook, even though the rep said roundcube is working it is not on my end. Thanks any helpful suggestions thanks! AT

its stopped the pop ups. Its the only way I can get them to stop. They weren't doing this on the Imac.

Incoming port = 993, and Outgoing port = 465
Be sure to have the encryption/SSL option selected On for both.

If that does not work you can try to keep the encryption/SSL for both Off and change the Incoming port = 143 and Outgoing port = 465

Well this is great, not great with computers but a party was trying to contact me and couldn't. I have no idea on how to fix it and the domain stuff is beyond me.  Is there no one who can fix these problems? SOS!!!!

This is happening to me too. Repeatedly to some emails but not all.  Very frustrating!  I use Outlook  (not 365).  I'm using the correct homestead settings.   This is the message I'm getting (removed my actual email below): 

    host mx1.netsolmail.net [209.17.115.10]

    SMTP error from remote mail server after MAIL FROM:<SRS0=5MB8Fh=R3=(email address)=lori@eigbox.net>:

    553 5.3.0 66.96.189.4 Your message was rejected for possible spam/virus content.Please ask your email provider to visit http://emailadmin.registeredsite.com for resolution.



How do I correct that?

Hello,

With any Outlook errors that you are receiving, I recommend going through the Outlook settings, delete the settings currently in place, and copy and paste the settings from this article:

https://community.homestead.com/homestead/topics/how_do_i_setup_an_email_client_to_check_my_homestead_mail

If for any reason, the email is still not working, you can try to use the non-secure settings for email client set up.
You can also try restarting your computer.

Other than that, I would need to recommend that you use our webmail, Roundcube, until you are able to troubleshoot with Outlook regarding this issue.

I did do this! and its working great! expect for on my iPhone I had to delete the app!

It should be the same port numbers as you used to set up the email on your computer.

I'm using Roundcube now.  I didn't seem to have these problems before the switch to Roundcube.

I randomly have emails that aren't delivered.  Sometimes I'm notified and sometimes not.
