You do not need to change the Home page to Index, it will just take a little bit for the search engines to update. You can speed up this process by requesting Google to crawl your website for new information. You'll find help articles in Google with instructions for this.

Are you building a new site in Website Builder? Or setting up Cloudflare?

You have the choice to either use Cloudflare to set up SSL on your Sitebuilder Plus sites OR you can rebuild your site in Website Builder, and soon we will be able to provide SSLs directly through Homestead. It is recommended to rebuild the sites if you can but we are not trying to force you to. It is just a recommendation. If you need builder help, ask any questions you have and I would be happy to help.

Hey Diane!

So one step that works more often than not is to just re-publish your site. If you look at your site, you should see all pages showing fully secure. Let me know if you need any further help

Hello,
I have uploaded my new site but no website(s) are on the net.
I get redirected to Homestead when entering their address(es)
I associated my domain name Wilkinskenpouk.com with wilkinskenpouk1.homesteadcloud.com
but appeared to have lost both.
please advise.

Please look in the DNS page of your Cloudflare account and make sure these records are in there:

1. A Record:   www    Points to:    146.148.102.201

2. A Record:     *         Points to:    146.148.102.201

3. A Record:    @        Points to:    146.148.102.201

Also, if there are CNAMEs for www or * please delete those.

Hello Elyzabeth,
Thank you for your help, the second A * record was
not required. I amended the first A record and deleted the CNAMES. I couldn’t see the A @ record but was informed it was already there when trying to insert it.
My website is now up and running.
Thanks you for your quick response to my questions .
Kind regards
Diane

Update. Cloudflare.
I did require the * but originally thought it had been flagged as an error. By adding it my www address site is now redirecting to https. I have also followed an instruction from the help forum about redirecting my site ending in homestead.com and added the html code (obtained from Google as instructed) which is required to redirect it to my .com site and it is working perfectly.
So all good after initial panick ( I am not code trained) and excellent help available.

Thank you
Diane
