The google browser will not recognize my website ironmanarmor.com (IronManArmor.homestead.com). It redirects to the generic Homestead page since I added the free SSL on cloudflare.

Hello Mitchell12

I see the domain pointing failed for ironmanarmor.com when it was added last year. As far as the homestead website can tell, there is only the sitename IronManArmor.homestead.com and those cannot be secured through Cloudflare. I will delete and re-add the domain for you to try to get that working, but it depends on if the DNS is correct in Cloudflare.

That is not correct. It has worked fine until I added the Cloudflare.

I'm sure it worked previously because you had the domain redirecting to the site name, but nothing I said was incorrect as I just listed facts from the account.

Your domain pointing failed. That is a fact, as it was surrounded by a big red box that said "pointing failed" in your domain tab. I deleted and re-added it to help you fix that issue.
It was only showing the site name, which cannot be secured through Cloudflare.
The DNS needs to be correct in Cloudflare for it to be able to point to our Homestead site and work.

The only thing I can suggest is to contact the company you have your domain registered through to remove the URL pointing. Also, log into your Cloudflare account and take a screenshot of your DNS tab. Post it here and I will tell you what needs to be corrected.

On another note, I believe it is only your Chrome browser that can't pull up your site because it is working on my computer and all of my coworkers, as well as my phone using Chrome.

What is untrue is that ironmanarmor.com was not added last year. I've had the site for 20 plus years. I'm not looking for a fight. I just want it fixed. The whole point was to switch to this cloudflare so https:// could show a secure site. It is still showing as unsecured.

OK, your DNS is incorrect. Please delete any A record that has "www", "*" or your domain name. Then, add these records:

1. A Record:
@       Points to:    108.167.135.81

2. CNAME:
*        Points to:    websites005.homestead.com

www      Points to:    websites005.homestead.com

m        Points to:    mobile.dudamobile.com

Also, please turn on the cloud to the right of the record for www and your domain. The cloud should be orange.

It looks like when I point it to the 108.167.135.81 the DNS looks better, but it says that it cannot give me value added service without the nameservers being domaindiscover. I don't know what that means. Cloudflare told me to change to their nameservers I have shown, see attachments. Should I add back the domaindiscover
nameservers in addition to the Cloudflare. I'm confused.

The Google browser still shows both my ironmanarmor.com website and acls4you.com website as unsecured.

I am not familiar with Tierra.net and would not be able to troubleshoot messages from them. It still looks like you are missing the CNAMES I gave, so I'll need you to put those in as well. The site will not be secure until the set up is correct.

I'm not sure what you are asking. I tried putting those in and it would not accept them at cloudflare.

Cloudflare will not accept the homestead site names. I tried to add ironmanarmor.homestead.com and it just gives an error message that it cannot accept it. So, I put in ironmanarmor.com which homestead does not own or host. I own that name and is from TierraNet. So, I'm directing ironmanarmor.com and acls4you.com because that is the only thing that works. I'm very frustrated because it was Homestead that asked us to change to be a secured site with the https, but has given very poor instructions. I would say that many have Homestead sites have a site that is either is directed from some other location or has the homestead name in the name of the site. And, yet, there are very poor instructions on how to do this so it is a secure https:// site. I have provided all I know how to provide and yet, this is not helping. I would expect Homestead to give step by step instructions and trouble shooting for both of these issues (all my other Homestead sites - which cannot be brought to cloudflare and are seen as unsecured AND my websites that have names that direct to my Homestead sites). I'm very frustrated with this back and forth. It's like Homestead didn't think this through. I've signed up for notifications on this Help community site and see many similar posts of people that have the same issue. Can you not post someplace a detailed walk through.

The detailed walkthrough is here:

https://community.homestead.com/homestead/topics/can-i-secure-my-homestead-website-with-https

You cannot secure the site name .homestead.com because that is a subdomain of Homestead and you do not have access to that. They are secure, but do not automatically redirect to https://

Most people have domains either registered through Homestead or pointing to Homestead. If you do not, then you cannot use our instructions to secure the site because the instructions do not apply to you. You would either need to point your domain name to Homestead or talk to the company you are registering/hosting your domain through to get it secure.

If you have any other trouble, I would recommend calling in. 800-710-1998

It looks to me like when I go to https://www.ironmanarmor.com/, the site pulls up. This means it is set up, you just need to finish the last few steps. Go into the Cloudflare account, click on the Crypto tab, and turn on the setting for "Always use HTTPS" and "Automatic HTTPS Rewrites".
I would also recommend republishing your site.
