Hello Drew -

Could not answer in the previous thread as it was already closed.

(Your latest comment) "Good morning. Are you still seeing the problem? It should have been solved by using your domain. BC specifically wants you to use an email that matches the store domain.

https://support.bigcommerce.com/s/article/Why-arent-my-customers-receiving-store-notification-emails....

We do not have bulk mail senders. Our servers limit the outgoing mail from an account by the hour and by the day."

**************

I am still having the problem with gmail. I will look through the BC link further but I did set up an email on BC using the sub-domain, Had it working (invoice copies being received) and then suddenly not working which included not receiving copies of Invoices sent. Changed it back to HS, worked at first and then gmail issues. (settings in the store working and other emails received).

I monitor this with having Order Invoices sent to a variety of emails including HS email; at&t acct and a gmail acct.

Trying to analyze what may be happening with using BC email and I am just baffled. I had this set up on Feb 11 and received Order Invoice copies (from the BC email to my forwarded addresses). One customer was gmail and that did not get rejected (so that was good).

I have the BC email set up in Thunderbird mail client as well as Gmail on android phone. In both places I can send email out and all are received by other email accounts but I cannot reply and receive them in either mail clients. I CAN receive mail only when sent from and to the same BC email. I only have 1 email setup in BC.

I changed my store profile and SMTP in BC back to HS and of course that works (except the gmail rejections). I changed it back because if a customer replies to the BC email Order Invoice, I am not going to get it.

What am I missing here?

I have set up the BC email again. It is sending notices out to customers correctly but when I tested a reply to the Order Notification, the reply is not being received in either the Thunderbird or gmail (android) client. As mentioned before, if I send from the new BC email from either client to the same email it is received (but not received from any other email).

Hello,

I would recommend using the settings in BigCommerce to set up the SMTP server for Homestead emails.

Follow the instructions under USING A CUSTOM SMTP SERVER

I thought that was for when I used the Homestead email? That is how it was set up for using Homestead. Shouldn't be default mail settings when using BC's email?

I was told by Drew to set up the Big Commerce email - Homestead is the email being rejected by gmail - apparently Big Commerce is not being rejected.

BC emails are sending properly but I am not receiving them.
