As mentioned in a separate thread a few days ago -- over the past several days I've noticed that frequently when accessing a page of one of my sites, I'll first get "This page cannot be displayed."  Then suddenly the page loads.

I've also had problems posting pages to Facebook -- Facebook's Debugger says it can't scrape the site because the server can't be reached.  See screenshot.

I am not seeing this, so we'll need to make sure this is the same issue and get some more details. You visit a page on your site and you get a page can't be displayed message. Then it loads anyway, or do you have to refresh the page?

Do you see this message on all pages, or just the page you put in the Facebook debugger?

I click to go to a page and immediately get the "This webpage is not available" error page.  It automatically refreshes and loads the page.  I do not have to do it manually.  It usually opens the page within a second or two.

This also happens upon first publishing a page.  When it automatically opens following publishing, it frequently generates an error page, then automatically refreshes and loads.

It does not happen every time.  Also, once the page loads, if I refresh that page, I don't get the error anymore.  It's as if the initial attempt to load a page fails but once the info is cached, it's OK.

It does not happen with all pages.

I made the correlation between the issues on Facebook because they started happening at the same time.  It's as if Facebook has the same issue.  It tries to load the page and fails.  After a while it tries again and is successful.

Drew,

When I go to http://www.durandnow.com/ on my desktop running Firefox, I occasionally get "Problem loading page - the connection was reset...try again" message. When I click "try again", it loads correctly.  If I reload it (or clear my cache and reload it), it will also load correctly.

This problem is similar to what is happening with www.tomakinconstruction.com.  If you do a google mobile friendly search on http://www.durandnow.com/, it will often (not always) return with "failed to fetch the requested url".  If you try to do a validate url on https://validator.w3.org/, you often (not always) get "Sorry! This document cannot be checked -- 500 Status read failed: Connection reset by peer", which is also happening when you try to validate www.tomakinconstruction.com.

Thanks George7467,

I'll see if I can relate the two, then we may be on to something. This may be a network issue that I will need the engineers for, but I am not sure yet. It certainly doesn't appear to be widespread, but more examples will assist in the tracking down.
