I'm thinking of getting a professional to design my site...I have my domain name hosted on Homestead, and the designer is in another country. How could I get it done- do I give him/her access to my account (which seems dicey) so they can use Site Builder? When I asked, they asked for cpanel do I get those? Anyone able to help?

Hi Mainak9835,

Sorry for the delay -

The only way for them to access your account is to give them your login information (email address and password), which gives them access to your entire account.

Cpanel generally refers to being able to edit your domain name, that would be the domains sections (link on the left hand side).

If you're looking for a professional design, we offer design services as well. Let me know if you'd like more information.

I would be somewhat nervous using a designer from another country without some sort of solid proof of their validity - there are many, many instances of people being ripped-off.

There are lots of designers who are familiar with the SiteBuilder program. The question they asked you about CPanel leads me to believe they aren't familiar with the program and might be looking to switch you to another type of web site builder. And yes, regardless who you hire you will need to provide them with the log in and password.

Best of luck to you.
