Help for senior citizens with failing eyesight and arthritic fingers. I am very competent at spelling but when typing, my fingers work faster then my brain. So although I can type at a speed of over100 words a minute but only 25% are spelt correctly. Then I have to re-read my posts to correct errors... Whats the chance of having a spell checker on the forum ? :)

I use FireFox and it has a built in spell checker. For instance, I spelled Fire Fox wrong in the first sentence and I got a red squiggly line underlining the word. I imagine the other browsers have this as well. Do a search for your particular browser to find out if it's available and how to initiate it. If you use FF I can give you the instructions.

Please Susan, I use Firefox and haven't seen this feature. Mielemans suggestion will be my go to answer if I cannot get FF to work.. Thank you both.

Click on Tools in the upper toolbar.
Options
Advanced
Be sure that "Check my spelling as I type" is checked.
Hopefully that will do the deed.

Checked and the box was ticked? but then noticed I had not installed any dictionaries. All done and working fine now.. yay... Thank you Susan, Mieleman .
