Hi Jean,

Welcome to the Community!

To create flash, you would need a flash program such as Adobe Flash Professional. Once you create the video file, you would upload it as a .swf or .fla file in order to play.

Are you trying to create a slideshow for your website?

Thanks,

Chris

Hi Chris,
I finally create a flash file for the website but I can't get the html codes to work. I used Adobe Prof. and the today I tried using the swf object program to help with the html code. I can't get it to see the pictures.

Chris, I want flash photos and text and thanks. Why the Prof version? Is it fairly simple to use? Would I then need Dreamweaver?

Hi Kim,

Thanks for the response. I have Adobe Flash Professional on my computer so I just through that out there as an example. Any type of flash editing software will work. I'm not sure about dreamweaver and if it can produce flash files. Please try going to Google an doing a search for "Flash Creator". You may find one that works well!

Thanks,

Chris

Hi Renard,

Thanks for posting! You will want to rename the images on your computer before uploading them. If you right click on the image on your computer, you will see an option to rename it to something like pic1. Once you rename it, you can then upload it to the folder in your file manager to replace the pictures on your flash.

Hope that helps!

Chris

Hi info5574,

Flash can be used to create a variety of different effects so the best software really depends on what you want to do. You are welcome to expand on your idea here on this thread and solicit help from other community members, or If you are looking for a basic Flash Header with some basic image transitions, you can visit this thread for more details. https://community.homestead.com/homes...

Thanks!

Hi Elizabeth2988,

It depends on how you made, or what the source of your flash is. If you just have an .swf media file, you can import it by clicking Insert, hover your mouse over the YouTube icon, and click Video Player from the drop-down menu. This will allow you to import the file.

If you created the flash element from some 3rd party software, they should hopefully provide you instructions. Sometimes there might be some files that you many have to manually import into the file manager and some html code, but not always. Let us know what files or scripts you have or if you have 3rd party instructions and we'll help you out if possible.

Thanks!
Mike
