I'm trying to upload an html file to the file manager.  The dialog box opens with a status bar showing the progress of the upload, then it finishes the upload, but the file doesn't show up in the file list.  Why?  I've uploaded html files before without problems.

Hi Dan2539,

I'm using Sitebuilder Desktop so my results might be different than yours but I didn't have any problems doing the following.

1.  I clicked on the orange HTML icon on the 3rd row to the top of SD which opened the HTML Dialog box.

2.  I entered the following just to test if it will work.  <footer>&copy; Copyright 2015 Wildbunch of Hollywood.com</footer.

3.  I clicked on Save.

4.  I clicked on Publish.

And immediately following I saw my website with the copyright symbol followed by Copyright 2015 Wildbunch of Hollywood.com.

I hope this helps a little.

Fellow Homestead User,
Victor

I was able to insert an HTML snippet in the webpage, but not upload an HTML file to file manager.  Now I'm having another issue.  When I try to preview a page I'm working on, it doesn't complete the preview.  It just cycles continuously and says waiting for homestead.com, my domain.com, and my site stats.  I've never had this happen before, either.

Hello Dan2539,

Are you still having the issue with uploading the HTML file? If the preview issue is still occurring, try and clear your browser cache and cookies. The article below will outline how to do so.

Yes, I've cleared the cache and restarted everything several times.  There's obviously something wrong with your servers today.  I've never had these issues before.

Which site on your account is giving you the error?

What internet browser are you using? I have verified Sitebuilder is loading and saving on our side, and we are not experiencing and server issues or outages at the time.

Would you be able to try a Google Chrome and see if it still gives you the same issues?

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled Can't save or publish using Sitebuilder Plus.

I can open and edit in Sitebuilder Plus, but it won't save or publish anything.  When I press the save button I just get a spinning circle and the red "saving" box.  If I click on the page I get the error box.  It's been doing this for about 12 hours.  I have rebooted my computer and restarted Sitebuilder a few times but it didn't help.

I tried Chrome, and it seemed to be working well, but after about 15 minutes Sitebuilder locked up and won't publish.  Chrome displayed an "unresponsive website" message.

Are you publishing entire site or individual pages? If you have a larger site, I have seen Sitebuilder lock up as you describe when trying to publish entire site. It will also do this if there a lot of changes its trying to publish at once.

Just a single page at a time.  I haven't had this particular problem before.  There seems to be an extraordinarily long lag between making a change and Sitebuilder responding.  I can make a cup of coffee in between changes.
