Hello Glenda,

Permalinks are automatically created by your Homestead blog based on the title of the post. To obtain the permalink for a specific blog you will first want to open that blog on your website and the link will display in the top address bar. For example here is the permalink for the most recent post in your blog http://www.glendakharrison.com/TheDIG.html?entry=a-good-pair-of-chinos.

Michelle C, is the Dynamic post URL the same as the Permalink in the description listed below?

There are two pieces of data you need to insert in this tag before it will work on your blog:

  • Your feed URL. Here it is: http://feeds.feedburner.com/~s/TheDIGblog
  • Dynamic post URL. Use one of your blog's template tags to dynamically insert the URL of the current post. (E.g. Blogger uses <$BlogItemPermalinkURL$>; Movable Type uses <$MTEntryPermalink$>.)

Yes, dynamic URLs are generated from specific queries to a site's database that pin points the blog posts location. So essentially permalinks and dynamic urls are the same.

This has nothing to do with your post question.

I just wanted you to know that I visited your website from the above link and think it's wonderful. You design is clean yet fanciful. Great layout, use of color and content placement. It's easy to navigate and conveys a personality that's both professional and personal at the same time. All in all, a thumbs up.

Thank you for the kind words Steve. I would have to agree, the site looks great.
