Extremely slow email sending, receiving and forwarding.  I sent myself a test email and it took a very long time to come through.  I sent my self a test email to my home email (cox.net) and it went through in seconds.  Some of my customers are calling and saying I sent you an email and it doesn't show up until hours later.  I have all my emails from your server forwarded to yahoo (for storage reasons) and I work from that platform.  I check the open exchange server everyday and when I see that all the same emails have shown up at my forwarded yahoo acct, I delete on open exchange so I will have plenty of space on there.  The emails are showing up on open exchange several minutes after I send a test and then it takes 30 minutes and up to several hours to forward to Yahoo.  Why do you think this is happening?

I have the same problem! It is so embarrassing and not professional to have to tell clients "Sorry, I didn't get your email yet. My email provider is slow". I don't understand why this is happening.

Hello,

There can be a variety of factors that can cause a delay including the size of the email, any attachments or signatures, etc.. Also if your domain has a higher than normal spam reputation, the email server will delay the messages to ensure they are spam compliant. I do apologize for any inconvenience that our mail system may cause you, but we aren't experiencing any outages or issues with the mail system at the time.

This just started happening this week.  I send the same types of emails with the same signature as I always do.  I have sent very large emails and very small emails, lots or attachments or no attachments.  Makes no difference.  Still slow.  One email from one of my vendors took over 8 hours from the time she hit send til I received it.  Her and I email on a daily basis 10 times a day.  I never, ever send out spam.  I only reply to customer emails that are asking for a quote on products.  I never, ever send out group emails, or any kind of advertising ever!!  Can you check to make sure that I am not on some kind of black list.  So not only are my emails slow to go out but my incoming emails from clients are also slow to show up.

I just did a test with different emails.  It seems like it is taking a very long time to show up on the yahoo account.  Which is the one I forward everything to for storage reasons. I operate from there as well, just because it is easier being that all my emails are saved there.  I often have to refer back to saved emails.

I just logged out and logged back in to open exchange and bam, there are the emails I have been waiting for all day.  I had to do this on Monday and Tuesday also.

it may be intermittent. What email address do you primarily use? I can make sure there are no flags or errors on the domain.

Do you have an email address that does not have a forward you can test? If not you could create a test email. I suspect the forward is causing a delay.

It is the forwarding that is causing the delay.  It will also end up forwarding 2 times or more.  I just went in and changed the settings to this
Important:If you experience problems  receiving email, you can change the encryption/SSL setting on the incoming server to the On position, and change the incoming port # to 995.

Email was working for the last two days.  Some were slow to come through but as of last night, I am not receiving some of the emails sent to me at all.  On open exchange or the forwarded yahoo account.  Can you please help me with this.  I can't work this way.  It must have something to do with the black list again.  I have ended up on it before.  I do not send out any email that is not a reply to someone else that emailed me first.  I do not ever send out mass emails.  I believe the problem mostly lies with the secure-lane.com domain email addresses.  What do I do to correct this problem.  Emails are my livelihood, my customers depend on receiving the quotes and information the requested.  Please help!

The only thing I could possibly see is that a couple of your domains, including secure-lane.com, are not using our most up to date MX record IP so it could be causing a delay. I have updated all your domains to make sure the DNS is correct. Outside of that, everything else appears okay and none of the domains are flagged for spam.

Unfortunately I forgot to mention that my other email address; alicewolfe@rcn.com, also is pointed through danishservices.net. I haven't received any of my usual emails through that account since yesterday. I tried sending myself two test emails last night and they never arrived. Can you please undo what you did to alicewolfe@rcn.com yesterday? Thank you!

rcn.com is registered at Network Solutions and uses the nameservers, auth1.dns.rcn.net, and the numbers increment 2,3, and 4. These are not our nameservers and we would not have been able to change anything on that domain. Also, that domain is not listed in our system, so any email for that domain would be through a different service.

For me, this is not a new thing. My mail always seems to be slow, sometimes not by much - maybe 15- 30 minutes, but sometimes it's up to several hours. I NEVER send spam, I email directly with known clients.
