HOW DO WE RETRIEVE A CUSTOMER'S TELEPHONE NUMBER WHEN THEY USE THE EXPRESS CHECKOUT OPTION?

Sorry for the delayed response.

1. Login to the Storefront admin
2. Click on Store --> Payment Prefs
3. Check the box "Require ship-to phone number during checkout"

DEAR CHRIS:

WE RECEIVED A LARGE GOVT ORDER LAST WEEK AND THE SYSTEM DID NOT GATHER THE TELEPHONE#. IS THERE SOMETHING ELSE WE NEED TO DO? SORRY TO BOTHER YOU GUYS WITH THIS BUT WE ARE ENCOUNTERING DELIVERY ISSUES. V/R JOSE

Hi Jose,

Sorry for the frustration.

Your store is definitely requiring them to add a phone number. When I did a test checkout I got:



It appears the invoice within the Storefront Admin isn't capturing it. I'll have to go through the source code as I think we need to add one more line of code. Something like:

<ss:value source="$invoice.customer.phone"/> 


I'll check with some coders tomorrow to get the exact code. Once added, the phone number will show up on the invoice.
