I am getting the same message in past hour. Does this have something to do with transition to new email management system?

Need this to be fixed ASAP.

This problem has almost entirely subsided but there may still be some instability. It is not a result of the transition to the new email platform, rather it is an issue occurring at Tucows, which is the domain hosting provider that Homestead uses.

Official Response
Sorry for the inconvenience. We have traced this issue to our domain provider and they are working to resolve it now. Here's a link to the announcement where you can also find a link directly to Tucows the service provider. https://community.homestead.com/homes...

Sorry, there is still not an ETA for this issue.

Sorry for the problems you are experiencing. The issue is being caused by an outage with the domain host, Tucows. You can track the status here; http://www.opensrsstatus.com/

Earlier today I tried to access my own website and Google said it couldn't find www.karenamlaw.com? If people can't find me . . . well - not cool!

That means $$$$ lost!!! And one more example of a reason I should redesign my website elsewhere - I already have my emails mostly going elsewhere - this happened to be a customer who had an old brochure and so didn't know.

FYI: Tucows is not my service provider. Homestead is. Customer Service should NEVER pass the buck. Maybe state, "We (Homestead) are working with OUR service provider to correct the problem.. not correct the issue. It's a problem for the user community when we can't send or receive email to/from our customers. I just finished telling my customers that I am having an email problem, not Homestead, my vendor, who is blaming Tucows, is having a problem. Accept responsibility.

I am SO sick of email problems!!! Today, when I receive an email from someone, then I reply, the reply bounces. This has happened about ten times today. Time to start looking for a new hosting company, these problems have been ongoing for months now and it is very disruptive to doing business. .

There was a DDOS attack at Tucows, which is the company we use as a domain registrar. Basically the DDOS attack slams the severs and the code ERR007 is returned when the MX records (which control the routing of the email), are not accessible. This issue should be resolved. Have you had any more of these today?

I am having THREE PROBLEMS.

1. When I send emails to business contacts I get this message:

"Hi. This is the qmail-send program at gproxy5-pub.mail.unifiedlayer.com.
I'm afraid I wasn't able to deliver your message to the following addresses.
This is a permanent error; I've given up. Sorry it didn't work out.

550 5.7.1 information. q66si8950398yhm.104 - gsmtp"

2. ALL of us get a permission error when we log in. If we hit OK, it takes us to the email. Waste of time.

3. Easily 50% of the time we get an error message when we try to send emails. I hit SEND REPORT (albeit I cannot detect that anything is done). Have to attempt to resend 2 or 3 times.

Sorry about the issues

1) Google is making changes to their email system. We are investigating what their new requirements are.

2) How do you log in to email, and what is the specific error you receive?

3) If this is an error from within Zimbra, is there a show details button as well? If so, can you copy/paste the details into this post?

Thanks

Drew

If you got the ERR007 message that means that there is a problem with the DNS records. Your records look fine as of now. Is this the error you received or is your error different?

Cindy 2278, If you are still getting that error, can you tell me if you are sending through outlook? It may be an authentication error. Just moments ago I had another customer who simply re-entered his password in Outlook and it fixed the problem.

Let me know if you still don't get it to work.

The ERR007 errors that were reported today (Jan 14th), were related to a problem where the dns records for the email could not be resolved. The problem has been fixed. Everyone's email should be functioning normal at this time.
