Can not receive email from homestead email accounts AGAIN!

Same for me. Good to know that the clowns at Homestead are back in charge. If it was not so sad it would be hilarious! They actually think they have a service which they can charge money for ....

This is out of control! Is this some kind of sick joke? I estimate that I have lost hundreds of dollars due to these email problems over the past few weeks. I have been a loyal Homestead customer for MANY years and NEVER had problems like this. What kind of Mickey Mouse operation is this?

It seems that if you have forwarding on in your Homestead email account settings, it will forward incoming mail to another address with a delay. But it will not deposit any incoming mail into your Homestead inbox, nor will you be able to get any mail via a 3rd party program like Windows Mail or Outlook. Very strange, and very bad for customers.

It does appear that outgoing mail is going out without problems.

I suggest everyone forward their mail to another email address until the problem is resolved.

Appears as of 11PM PST email is working normally. The outage lasted about 5 hours.

This email problem is HORRIBLE...and it doesn't end nor does it appear to have a solution! If I get an email account through Gmail or Hotmail, then I will have to let 7000 people know this and it's so much work! time! energy! But if I stay with my Homestead account...this just keeps happening! Even though I'm getting some emails now....I know that for the past few hours, there were emails that I should have received and they have NOT come through...YET!?

Unfortunately it seems that emails that were not received over the past few hours seem to have vanished. They did not get delivered once service was restored.

I agree with you 100%. I run multiple businesses on Homestead servers, and these continual outages are hurting business tremendously.

No. Not during "off-business" hours. It seems that Homestead does not accept email support. Only way to get help is live chat and voice during business hours. It's truly sad, when you consider the customer service options available here, or lack there of.

I totally agree with you, moving my business seems like a huge task, but ultimately may be the only solution.

I did speak with someone via phone during the email apocalypse last week. They just offered to comp me for the inconvenience. That was pretty much it,

I was traveling last week and didn't realize that there had been problems last week...although before I left on Sept. 25th, there had been multiple interruptions to my email service around that time and before. As you can see/read, I'm losing lots of sleep over this as it's 4 a.m. on the East Coast!

Yes, September was a bad month for Homestead email servers.

As of right now everything seems to be working normally. I double-checked. So I guess we will just cross our fingers and see what the powers that be say tomorrow when they review this thread.

I have not received emails all day and then I got 3 emails and have tried to either reply of forward on and cannot send any emails. Is anyone else having these same issues.

Very difficult to run a business when a basic service like email doesn't seem to work properly for more than a few hours before its broken again.

With all the turmoil we all experienced last month, you would not have expected more problems so soon.

I cannot send or reply ... anybody else?

I use gmail as backup re business email ... but I shouldn't need to when I am paying for a service.

Yep, same here regarding sending emails - all of my outgoing emails are being rejected and the messages not sent. Having to send outgoing emails via my Hotmail account looks highly unprofessional. Now considering alternative services, which is sad considering I have never had cause to complain about Homestead before now.

I can assure you my personal email address is:

searlsa@msn.com

and my business address is:

info@greatvalueonlinebooks.com (homesteads email)

I am using my outlook address all the time (last time ... 2 mins ago) and I am
receiving emails from my business address but I cannot send.

Well, I thought the problems with the email was about over, but now it seems I'm not receiving emails.. I made a couple of orders from suppliers yesterday, and I still have not received confirmation emails. I always receive them instantly from these two company's.. Now I'm wondering, how many other emails aren't coming through? Homestead...is this a new problem? What's going on?

How do you check your email? We do seem to be having an issue this morning, and are investigating, but all reports are about sending, People are saying they can receive but not send, so maybe we can see what is going on with your account.

Please log in to http://mail.homesteadmail.com. See if your mailbox is full by looking in the top right, under your account name. There will be a colored bar. If it is red, then your box is full. You will need to delete messages and empty the trash.

I am 100% not able to send emails. As an attorney, this is screwing up my practice. I need to make changes ASAP. Can i switch email providers and keep my same email address. Any help is appreciated
