Email box quota upgrades now available

At this time we are pleased to offer different email box quota options. You are welcome to post here or call support to assist with upgrades, but you are now able to complete this action yourself, from within your Homestead account. You can see how below.

Tier 1: 500 mb and 10,000 messages
Tier 2: 2 gb and 20,000 messages
Tier 3: 5 gb and 50,000 messages
Tier 4: 10 gb and 100,000 messages

Tier 1 is included with the mail box.
Tier 2 is $1 additional per month
Tier 3 is $2 additional per month
Tier 4 is $3 additional per month

1) Go to the email tab on your Homestead account and Manage my email account. If you have multiple domains, you will need to select the desired domain. Select the edit button to the right of the desired email address.


2) Select the desired upgrade size for your mail box and click save.


3) If you have an available upgrade the mailbox will be changed. If you do not, you will see the message below.


4) Click on Manage storage upgrades. Make your selections and click upgrade now. Once completed, you will be able to go back to the email tab and apply the purchased upgrades to your mailbox(s)

I'm sorry, there are only 4 tiers. If you mean 5GB, all these boxes were previously upgrade to 5GB. If you want them to 10GB, I can do that as needed when you wish.

Is there a way to delete attachments from an incoming email without deleting the email, once I have downloaded the attachment. I need to delete the attachment to save space as my mailbox is full.

Hi Pat, if you haven't upgraded before, then you would be at Tier 1 or 500mb. There are 2gb, 5gb and 10gb options. You may upgrade each box individually, so yes, we can do only yours if that is what you want. Let me know and I can take care of it for you.

Once your account is converted you would have 2 included Tier 4 mailboxes. I have applied that to each of these 2. You have not yet been converted, but you should see the quota change. You may need to log out and in again.

I am still using OX (like it much better even though I know it won't be around forever). I'm assuming the upgrade will work for both Roundcube and OX email systems? Thanks!

Great, thank you. How long does it take to show up because my email is still showing 500MB storage? I logged out and back in but it's still 500MB. Also, I got an email saying it will be $48 for two years but the yearly charge is $25.51. Shouldn't it be an even $24 charge for each year?

I see that. It keeps reverting on me. I am contacting the admins to see if something is wrong with the mailbox to prevent it from upgrading. I will get back to you.

That would be prorated until the next billing. Tier 3 is 5gb and 50,000 messages for $2/month. $24/year and $48/2 years. Your next billing is next year late in August. A little more than a year, so slightly more than the $24/year.

It was reset to the 500mb limit for some reason. I am very sorry about that. I have updated again now, and will investigate the cause of this change. Let me know if you see a quota issue again.

I upgraded to tier 4 yesterday - but when i log into homestead and manage my email accounts - it still says that my email storage for that email is 500mb?

james@jamesgillespie.es is set to 10gb and 100,00 messages. Try logging out of email and clearing your browser history. Then log in again and look.

Yes James, they are still integrating it to be available for you to change it yourself. The important place is within the mailbox itself.
