Hi,

My e-mail address that I set-up on Homestead keeps getting flagged as Spam. I am not sending bulk messages and keep getting this message for Google.

Authentication & Identification
To ensure that Gmail can identify you:

Use a consistent IP address to send bulk mail.
Keep valid reverse DNS records for the IP address(es) from which you send mail, pointing to your domain.
Use the same address in the 'From:' header on every bulk mail you send.
We also recommend publishing an SPF record and signing with DKIM. We do not authenticate DKIM using less than a 1024-bit key.

Learn more about email authentication.

Additional guidelines for IPv6

The sending IP must have a PTR record (i.e., a reverse DNS of the sending IP) and it should match the IP obtained via the forward DNS resolution of the hostname specified in the PTR record. Otherwise, mail will be marked as spam or possibly rejected.
The sending domain should pass either SPF check or DKIM check. Otherwise, mail might be marked as spam.

Also, some other sites that I have accounts with says that they are trying to send me an e-mail and it keeps bouncing back. Is there something wrong with the servers?

We are actively working on this. Google has just made a change to their system that caused this. We are investigating the necessary adjustments.

Thanks

Hi. This is not just with Google. I have another domain with Homestead and have used that e-mail address and this is what I get when sending an e-mail to a business client. If I can't get e-mails out today, then how long will this take to be resolved?

Your error is not the same error. This is a content error. Something in your message is triggering our spam filter.

Please fill out this form, so I can analyze the information.

The original message is what you were sending out that was blocked.

Thanks

I filled out the form that you provided. This is now a message that I keep getting from www.Meetup.com. I already added Info@Meetup.com to my safe list. What else do I need to do?

Your email has been bouncing.
To use Meetup we need to be able to email you. Please click one of the links below to resolve the problem:

Change your account to a new email address The problem was temporary and my email is now working (or will be shortly).

I will analyze the form and see if anything else needs to be done. Depending on what direction the analysis takes me, it can take a while to complete the analysis.

For anyone that was receiving this error, when sending to gmail addresses, or Google hosted email, today, please try sending again.

Hi. This is the qmail-send program at gproxy5-pub.mail.unifiedlayer.com.

Hi Drew:

My clients are getting FreshBooks e-mails into their junk filters. They said I need to:

"include:_spf.freshbooks.com" in my SPF record.

Your article above says,"We also recommend publishing an SPF record and signing with DKIM."

I'm not terribly technical. Can you tell me where this mysterious SPF record resides and where I need to edit it??

Thanks.

Hi Ed6432, I am looking into this for you now. This is something that we'll have to add on our end. I'll let you know when it's done or if there are any issues.

I will need to know which domain you want it added to?

Hi Ed6432, I added the spf record above. The DKIM should be an additional record. If you post it here we can add it also.
