I had called customer service for a couple of issues that had to be referred to a "specialist". Since the CSR could not help with those issues, he could help with the domain change. He said it would take 20 minutes or so and he would do it. It's been 1.5 hours and i've not yet been able to log on to the new site under big commerce. Has he left me hanging or what?

I'll be happy to help you out. Can you explain to me where you are stuck? Have you received the url to set your password for the first time?

I don't know that i am stuck. He( Paul) just said that he would do it. I have been working with the new site for 3 weeks now if that is the password you are referring to. When i click on the temporary link that was given to me at the beginning of the switch to BC, after logging in and clicking on "view store" it goes to a Homestead page saying that the page can't be found. I guess the question is has it been switched, and what is the new URL?

You'll want to bookmark this URL, as this should always allow you to access your site, even without the domain pointing to it yet. http://store-shhuc9g.mybigcommerce.com

Then to log in, or change your password you simply add the word "admin" to the end of the url like this: http://store-shhuc9g.mybigcommerce.co...
So, you may want to just bookmark that also.

The Cname record was correctly updated on this end, but I think the issue is with how the domain was entered on the Bigcommerce site as it's tryin to pullup with both the www, and stores subdomains at the same time ie www.stores.yourdomain.com. It should not do this.

Go to this url https://community.homestead.com/homes... and take a close look at Task 1, Step 3 and make sure you have entered it correctly. If you put a "www" in front of the word "stores" you'll need to remove it.

If it's correct and still not working, let me know.
