domain transfer to Homestead

A few weeks ago, I went through the process of transferring BVTHRIFTSHOP.COM to Homestead.  It went through and I got an email telling me the transfer would arrive between Sept. 22 and 24th.  It's the 24th now, and I get a message from Homestead that the transfer is aborted because it wasn't completed within 5 days.   How could I possibly have done in 5 days since I was told it would be about 10 days?  Please email me comments so I get them directly.
On your site and my account under Domains, it says the process is waiting.

Hello,

I do apologize, from what I can see there was a transfer request message sent to TOUGASR@HOTMAIL.COM on 9/19/2019 and on 9/24/2019 the transfer timed out waiting for owner approval. This domain will need to be re-submitted for transfer. I can remove the domain so it will be able to be submitted once again.

I must have received your email (I can't find it in my DELETED folder), but if you sent it on the 24th, the last day it said I would get the info about the completed transfer, then that was much too close a time for me to receive it and send it to you even if I saw it immediately.   I have re-submitted the transfer request.

Just to finish off this issue.  Nobody told me the email to complete the transfer would go to the ADMIN person listed on the site.   I'm listed as TECH person.  Thus the 2  tries didn't go through properly.  I'll inform the ADMIN person to call me immediately when the email is received. Hopefully that will solve this problem and the site will be transferred to my account with Homestead.

When you submit for transfer it specifies that it will be sent to the email on the domain registration. I apologize but yes it would be sent to the owner of the domain.
