I need to point a domain I purchased through GoDaddy to a site I created in Sitebuilder.

The Godaddy domain name "elac.church", has one of the "newer" extensions, which doesn't appear in Sitebuilder's drop down menu for domain pointing.

So, what needs to be done to get this domain pointed?

Thanks in advance,

Gerald

Hello. If you provide me the site name you want to point it to, I can add it for you. You would just need to update the nameservers at Godaddy. You would change them to:

ns1.mdnsservice.com
ns2.mdnsservice.com
ns3.mdnsservice.com

Hi Drew,

The Homestead site is elac2017.homesteadcloud.com.
The GoDaddy domain I want it to point to is elac.church.
I've changed the Nameservers to the Homestead names you provided.

FYI...not sure if its because of this new type of extension, but GoDaddy is also asking for an IP address for each of the three Homestead Nameservers. Haven't seen this type of request with previous pointing efforts.

Thanks!
GH

I have added the point, but there may be some propagation time on the DNS

I am not sure why they need that, but here it is.
ns1.mdnsservice.com
216.40.47.18

ns2.mdnsservice.com
64.98.148.11

ns3.mdnsservice.com
64.99.96.34

Hello Drew,

Need to know what's going on with this pointing order for www.elac.church.
Per your request, I sent you this site domain name and changed the namservers @ GoDaddy. Everything in Homestead Sitebuilder appears as if the pointing was completed, but my website doesn't appear when using the domain custom name. I've tried to retrieve on multiple browsers, but get the same result, which is a long search time. Opera returned an error message saying "the site couldn't be reached because it took too long".

I actually called this problem into Homestead tech support (TS) this past Friday because the DNS propagation shouldn't take this long! I had two sites that were not pointing correctly. TS eventually got one fixed before closing time, but this one still isn't working!

I really need to get this resolved!

Thanks,
Gerald

It seems to be working for me. Is this the correct site? Can you clear the browser history in each browser?
