Suppose you don't want to use one of these boilerplate design templates. Can you do your own design from scratch?

You can delete all of the elements on a template and start with a blank page.

I was trying to do this on a boiler plate template in the  store( the Product page) , but was unable to "activate" the different elements ...they appeared to be locked in position and unchangeable... no option to unlock in the advanced settings.   After messing around for hours( and getting input from Michelle that it was impossible to do) I gave up and decided I would have to find a different design and live with it...  I went to new design and started trying them out..low and behold the design I chose was customizable.   I am not sure if I just got lucky or if I was unlucky to begin with, but I was relieved to have this option.  I'd love to know hat happened, but using this customizable page was like the good old days before Homestead "improved'  it's software.  Is there a trick to "activating" the elements on a templated page?

any insight would be appreciated..

Thanks

Kathleen

Using SB+?
Perhaps using the properties editor to unlock the elements?

Robert- another option for  a blank page is go to the Pages menu on left hand side and add a page (at the top left hand side)  when you link to the + an option for  a blank page will come up.  Then just add elements

Hello,

You must choose a template to get started but you can then customize all content and add blank pages or sections to work in.
