Hello -

I was reviewing the page source for my top level categories and noticed that the description is not auto-populating on the page source i.e.:

< meta property="og:description" content=" " />

On my storefront home page and also on each product page, the quotes are filled with data from the specific page.

Is the Meta Description (on Categories) suppose to do the same?

Thank you for your assistance,
Sally

Hi Sally -

I believe the behavior you're seeing is expected for the Storefront but I will double check and get back to you soon.

Thanks,
Aubreyvv

Hello Aubrey -

Thank you so much for your quick assistance. I thought possibly there might be a code missing in the template as (based on the product detail and home page template), the meta description auto-populates. This is the data that is typically seen in a search result. When the top-level 'Category' is returned in a search result, the snippet is erratic rather than the top-level Category description.

Thanks again,
Sally

Hi Aubrey -

Just wondering if you found anything regarding the Category meta descriptions?
